Service Description

In this 6-week course, I will share how to connect with the world of nature as part of a writing practice. We will begin by creating a handmade journal in the first session to use during the course as a place to jot down your poems. After discussing particularities of the form, I will lead you through my own practice that allows me to be alert to the environment in my daily life and give tips on how you can begin connecting to your own surroundings from a new perspective. By writing daily, even for a few minutes, you will start to develop your powers of observation. Writing haiku may even change how you feel about nature! By the end of the course, you will have written many poems, and I will show you how to choose your best work for use in your creative artwork.
